Medical Cards

The Dental Treatment Services Scheme (DTSS) provides access to some denture treatments for holders of a current, valid medical card. In order to avail of the service you must come to our clinic for assessment where an oral exam is performed and the necessary forms are filled in. An application is then sent to the HSE for approval. Once the procedure is approved we will contact you to start the treatment. The following denture treatments are available under the DTSS scheme:

FULL DENTURES: Holders of a valid medical card are entitled to a free set of dentures every 5 years

PARTIAL DENTURES: If there are any natural teeth remaining you must have attended a dentist within the past 12 months

DENTURE RELINES: 1 full upper and/or full lower denture reline will be approved once every 5 years if deemed clinically necessary

DENTURE ADDITIONS: You are entitled to the addition of teeth to your existing denture plate following an extraction

DENTURE REPAIRS: You are entitled to repair work to your existing denture
